About the Lena Ringstad

Lena Ringstad has created a unique industry out of capturing men and women at work – specifically behind-the-scenes session musicians, the backbone of mega-hit records and world tours of the stars.

The exhibition features photographs from Lena’s 25-year photographical journey in Los Angeles, where she worked with music legends and sidemen to legends like Chaka Khan, Stevie Wonder, Sting, the Pointer Sisters, David Bowie, Al Jarreau, James Ingram, Keb’ Mo’, Leon Ware, and more.

As one of very few women covering this exclusive niche, Lena provides an intimate bird’s eye view of Los Angeles based musicians, quiet-kept history-makers deserving of broader attention and acclaim.

She has captured recording sessions, sound-checks, concerts, rehearsals, and the camaraderie exhibited at inner circle events.
